Vistana’s Sheraton and Westin products were acquired by Marriott Vacations Worldwide. Owners can hold a Vistana deed, a mandatory club membership, and a newer points account at the same time. A letter that talks about Abound does not, by itself, replace the Vistana contract.
The club rules are where reservation blackout dates, transfer limits, and fee escalators usually live. The deed is where the real-estate interest, if there is one, lives. Both have to be in the file.
