Disney Vacation Club is not built like a perpetual club-points contract. Memberships are real-estate interests with an end date in the declaration, a home resort, and a use year. Disney has a right of first refusal on many resales. Rental and transfer rules are strict.
We do not describe DVC as easy to cancel, and we will say so on a review. A recent purchase still inside a statutory window is one kind of file. A long-held membership that the owner wants to sell or surrender is another. For many of the second kind, a resale is the more realistic path, and the right of first refusal is part of that path.
